Selling this for a friend. Basically he left it with me about a year ago when he decided to go traveling. Turns out he likes where he is in Europe and has decided he'd like to sell his bike. Bike is mechanically sound and registered. Cosmetic damage to nose and left fairings after a low-speed slide due to wet tram tracks (see photos). Owner o/s, unwilling to coordinate repairs back home. Ad contact has authority and paperwork to sell.
Bike has had 24000km service; this is a major service for this bike and usually costs ~$1000. This was done after the drop so bike is in top shape mechanically.
Bikepoint lists similar, undamaged tri-colours/standard at ~$8000-9000. Selling for $7000 - the $1000+ difference to account for the 2 replacement fairings, or an entirely new set of fairings if you're happy to buy cheap from China. Of course it can be ridden as is - damage is purely cosmetic.
The VFR800 is a great sports-tourer, has a great sound (V4 engine) and is great fun to ride. Owner selling reluctantly due to extended time overseas (paying insurance and rego turns out to be far less fun without actually riding the bike).
