Baby bunnies BEWARE in CANBERRA, Australian Capital Territory for sale

Baby bunnies BEWARE
Baby bunnies BEWARE
Baby bunnies BEWARE

Please DONT buy a baby bunny under 8 weeks of age.
The mothers milk may have dried up and gone by 5 weeks, and the kits are eating by themselves, BUT at this stage the mother is producing a special poo full of bacteria, which the kits are eating and absorbing the special bacteria the mother has produced for her babies. This is essential for the babies to get and develop the necessary bacteria in their own stomaches to grow into healthy, well balanced adult rabbits.
If you buy a baby bunny that is younger than 8 weeks old, you run the very high risk of your baby dying from stress, or related stomache problems.
This is the reason why a registered breeder NEVER sells a baby until it has turned 8 weeks old. Not only is it in the best interest of the baby, but also in the best interest of the new owners, after all, who wants to take a beautiful little bunny home, just to have it die a few days or weeks later. The heartbreak this causes is just awful.
So buyers PLEASE DONT DO IT.
Also, when buying a new baby bunny, please ask the seller to provide a few cups of their normal feed. Taking a baby bunny home and feeding it on a new diet or even same feed but different brand, can cause the exact same tummy upsets that it does a kitten or puppy. Use their normal feed and start mixing the new feed with it, gradually adding more of the new feed over a period of about a week, so your not upsetting the bacterial balance of your new bunnies tummy. Taking a new baby bunny home and just feeding it anything is one of the biggest causes of the new baby getting diahorrea.
The aim of this advert is to educate buyers and sellers alike, it is not meant to upset anyone, but I will keep posting it until the private breeders and unsuspecting buyers get the message and this inhumane, awful practice stops in our city.
Cheers, and I hope you all find the bunny that is right for your family, that is a minimum of 8 weeks old.
