Business Analyst in CANBERRA, Australian Capital Territory for sale

The Business Analyst will be responsible for leading the identification and specification of the technical requirements/specifications for a new PMS having regard to the Group’s business needs, desired outcomes for the PMS and requirements regarding flexibility and scalability. Roles and Responsibilities:Develop a formal Business Architecture document, a blueprint of the organisational and strategic objectives, and tactical demands with the solution’s Functional Specification.Develop a formal Functional Specification document that describes the capability, appearance, and interactions requirements.Undertake a Market Review through a systematic market analysis of the characteristics, capacity and capability of the software market to determine the extent to which the market is able to meet the Business Architecture and Functional Specification.Assist in the development of a Business Case document to support replacing the current PMS including cost estimates and analysis from the Market Review;Develop and provide a detailed Statement of Requirement (SoR) for inclusion in the tender documentation for an approach to marketAssist in the development of the procurement strategy, including recommendations for any staging.Assist in the development of procurement documentationSupport the Project Team in selection of a preferred supplier and provide technical assistance through the contract negotiation stage including in relation to licensing matters.Skills and Experience Required:Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering ICT procurement with agreed timelines.Business Analyst experience in an IT environment with strong skills in the development of requirements and specifications according to industry standards.High level written communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex system and process concepts for non-technical staffExperience in procuring ICT for GovernmentKnowledge of risk management frameworks applying to an ICT environment in GovernmentDemonstrated ability to work with limited supervision in the end-to-end delivery of ICT projects within a tight timeframeDemonstrated ability to work with non-technical staff in developing system requirementsTo be considered for the role click the 'Apply' button or for more information about this and other opportunities please contact Tori Bull on (02) 6151 9214.
